3 heavenly smoothie recipes from the blender

Do you need a morning pick-me-up or are you feeling peckish during the day? Enjoy a delicious cocktail that’s good for your health. We have 3 simple recipes for first-rate smoothies.

Smoothie is the name of a drink loaded with vitamins, minerals, fibres and antioxidants prepared by blending fresh fruit and vegetables. It is healthy, tasty, relieves hunger and refreshes. In short, it’s the ideal drink not just for summer. And you don’t have to buy any special smoothie device. All you need to prepare healthy drinks is a few basic ingredients and an ordinary blender.

1. Refreshing strawberry smoothie with chia seeds

This strawberry drink gives you the perfect “kick” especially in the morning. Its delicate flavour gives you a pleasant start in the new day and the chia seeds will give you lots of vitamins and protein, fatty acids, antioxidants, fibre, calcium and other substances that are beneficial for the organism.

What will you need?

  • 150 g strawberries
  • 1 banana or 1 peach
  • 2 spoons of chia seeds
  • 100 g kefir or yogurt.

You can also add a few leaves of mint or cubes of ice to the blender. This makes the drink even more refreshing.

TIP: If you don’t have a classic blender with a closed container, don’t worry. You can make a smoothie just as easily with an ordinary hand blender. Just put the ingredients in a tall glass or other container and slowly blend them. First blend them at a lower speed and then increase the rotations.

2. Popeye’s healthy smoothie

There is probably no need to introduce the benefits of spinach mix. This vitamin bomb full of iron, sodium, calcium, potassium and magnesium is guaranteed to be good for you. What’s more, it’s an easy way to get a good serving of fruit and vegetables even into kids that steadfastly reject cooked spinach.

What will you need?

  • 3 ripe bananas
  • 1 orange
  • 1/2 ripe avocado
  • 2 handfuls baby spinach
  • Glass of water or ice.

Blend all the ingredients until smooth, but add the water or ice gradually so the drink doesn’t get too thin.

TIP: If you don’t want the smoothie to be too thick, you can also use a juicer for some fruits, like apples and oranges, and then add the juice to the blender. Gradually add the other ingredients to the apple or orange base and blend everything into a waterier drink.

3. Exotic smoothie

If you love the taste of exotic fruits, you will love these ideas. Try a melon mix, prepared by simply blending together several varieties of melon, or try our coconut-mango cocktail.

What will you need?

  • 2 ripe mangoes
  • 100 ml coconut milk
  • 100 g yogurt

If you have fresh coconut at home, you can garnish the drink with coconut shavings. You can also add a few pieces of pineapple to the mango to make the drink even juicier with a slightly acidic undertone.

TIP: Once you’re done with the smoothie, clean out the blender immediately to prevent the mixture from sticking. Just pour in two cups of water and switch in on briefly. The remains of the drink will quickly be released from all the blades and corners.
