About Us
Claywood Pottery Workshop began as a small studio tucked behind an old orchard, where a handful of curious hands first learned to center clay on a creaking wheel. Over the years, that quiet corner grew into a gathering place for anyone drawn to the slow, grounding rhythm of working with earth.
We believe pottery is less about perfection and more about presence — the feel of wet clay, the sound of a spinning wheel, the satisfaction of watching a shapeless lump become a bowl, a cup, or something entirely unexpected. Whether you come with steady hands or none at all, our studio welcomes every pace and every kind of curiosity.
Surrounded by shelves of drying greenware and the warm hum of the kiln room, Claywood has become more than a workshop. It is a place to slow down, breathe, and create something real with your own two hands.
Hands-On Learning
From wedging clay to centering it on the wheel, every technique is taught through practice, not lectures. Mistakes are part of the process, and so is the joy of getting it right.
A Calm Studio Space
Natural light, wooden worktables, and the gentle hum of wheels in motion create an atmosphere meant for focus, reflection, and quiet creativity.
Community of Makers
Potters of all levels share tables, tools, and stories. Over time, the studio becomes less a classroom and more a small community bound together by clay dust and shared curiosity.
